On the road & in the cloud: how tech is driving Irish innovation

On this week's Ready Business podcast, we were at the Momentum Summit finding out how tech is driving innovation and success in Irish business.
Presenter Brian Purcell spoke to Gerry McCourt of Vodafone to find out about the unique solutions that Irish companies are coming up with for businesses.
“It’s all about the data nowadays,” explained McCourt. “From tennis rackets to cows, Irish businesses are using technology to discover new ways to save time and improve efficiency for their customers.”
From the cloud to the road, for Bernie Kinsella, who worked her way up in her uncle’s courier business from receptionist to CEO, she has experienced the hard slog of growing and selling a business before buying it back right as the recession hit.
That didn’t deter her however and she has embarked on another transport venture with Worldbox looking to provide a compelling B2C proposition in Ireland and abroad.
Whilst technology is vital to her business and to saving her customers time and money, in the end her one piece of advice to Irish business owners is to remember ‘it’s all about the sales, nothing else matters’.
