Wolfe Tone YC and Bray Wanderers have always enjoyed a special relationship. Wolfe Tone's most famous gift to the Seagulls was legendary striker Kieran 'Tarzan' O'Brien but now they have provided the Carlisle Grounds outfit with match day entertainment.
The Wolfe Tone Baton Twirlers will be the club's official entertainment troupe for the 2014 season and they'll be hoping to whoop and cheer Alan Mathews' side to many victories over the course of the season at the Field of Dreams.
The Wolfe Tone Baton Twirlers are a baton and pom-pom troupe based on the Vevay Road. They boast over 50 members ranging from children as young as three, to adults as experienced as 30. The group is split into two teams; junior and senior, and they have been asked to attend trials with a view to representing Ireland in Barcelona in the European Championships. Also on the horizon for the troupe is the Irish Nationals.
Bray Wanderers General Manager Jack O'Neill is delighted to welcome the Wolfe Tone Baton Twirlers and he looks forward to them keeping the home and away fans entertained over the course of the season.
He said: "There is a special relationship between Wolfe Tone YC and Bray Wanderers and we are so proud to have the Baton Twirlers as our club entertainers. The supporters who attend our games are in for a real treat before the kick off and at half time this season!".
