Brendan Lawrence at Croke Park

The efforts and the successful working relationship between Wicklow Camogie and the Wicklow/Bray People were rewarded last weekend when Sports Editor of the Wicklow/Bray People, Brendan Lawrence, was presented with the Mick Dunne Memorial Award's Local Media award at a wonderful event in Croke Park.

The award would not have been possible without the cooperation and assistance from Wicklow Camogie and in particular the tireless efforts of Wicklow Camogie PRO Deirdre O'Flynn and the organisation should be very proud of their efforts at rejuvenating camogie in the Garden County with an exciting year ahead on the playing fields at club and county level.

Donard-The Glen's Amanda Butler picked up the Volunteer award for County Wicklow thanks to her wonderful efforts over the years while Kiltegan's Stephen Byrne collected the Digital Promotion award on behalf of KCLR96FM where he works as Head of News and Sport.
