Three-way fight for Premier status

ST. PATRICK'S, St. Fergal's or Arklow United will be joining St. Anthony's in the Premier Division next term.

St. Fergal's have been casually throwing away their dream in recent months and their latest disappointment came at the hands of Pat's, who have fired themselves into Premier Division contention following their 5-1 win over the Bray side.

The pair clashed in Avoca on Sunday and Martin Kenny (2), Adam Tuke, Patrick Kennedy and John Kavanagh put Fergal's to the sword with their goals.

They now trail the Ballywaltrim Recreational Park side by two points with two fixtures remaining.

Rathnew AFC B could well finish as runners-up but they will be unable to be promoted due to Rathnew AFC A's current status as a Premier Division side.

Rathnew B signed off with a 2-1 win over Fassaroe YC A in their 18th and final outing of the season. Josh Graham and Jay Taylor landed the Shamrock Park side's efforts.
