St Pat's stand in Bray's way

Premier Division frontrunners St. Patrick's Athletic stands between Bray Wanderers and an FAI Ford Cup quarter final spot.

The third round draw was made live on MNS on Monday evening and threw up at least two all top flight clashes, with a possible third to come.

As well as the clash of Pat Devlin and Liam Buckley's sides at the Carlisle Grounds, Dundalk will take on Limerick and Sligo Rovers will hosts Cork City, provided that the Leesiders can overcome Kilbarrack United in their second round clash.

Both league meetings against the Inchicore club this season have ended in defeat for Wanderers. On April 5, a single Chris Forrester goal by the seaside inflicted a fourth defeat of the season on Bray and then on June 28, in Richmond Park, a first half Christy Fagan brace sunk the Seagulls.

The tie is scheduled to take place on the weekend ending Sunday, August 25.

FAI Ford Cup Third Round: Bluebell United v Derry City; Bray Wanderers v St. Patrick's Athletic; Dundalk v Limerick; Finn Harps v Cobh Ramblers; Longford Town v Drogheda United; Shamrock Rovers v Sheriff YC; Shelbourne v College Corinthians; Sligo Rovers v Cork City/Kilbarrack United.
