Brawl erupts in ugly clash

SPARKS FLEW at Rooster's Park on Sunday as Conary United and Roundwood clashed; quite literally.
A 15 man brawl and a couple of sending offs resulted in one United player requiring stitches in a head wound as the home side eventually won this bad-tempered affair 21.
But that wasn't the only stormy thing this weekend. The weather was also extremely ill-tempered and as a result only one other match went ahead; the meeting of Seaview Wanderers and Aughrim Rangers on Saturday evening.
Thankfully, the only hits in this clash were that of the ball hitting the back of the net as the hosts enjoyed a 3-1 victory. Ross Turner, Joe Somers and Michael Dickenson were the men to register those efforts as they each notched a single for Seaview.
