Arklow take on UCD in cup tie

Aaron Eglington of Greystones United slides in on Arklow Town's Jack Murphy during the U-17 League play-off in Greystones on Friday night.

THIS Sunday afternoon 11 men from Arklow will take to the field in the UCD Bowl hoping to realize their dream of playing in the third round of the FAI Ford Cup. Arklow Town face UCD's Leinster Senior League side at 2.00 p.m. in the Dublin side's ground and a victory will see them enter into the open draw for the third round alongside the likes of Bohemians, Derry City and of course, Bray Wanderers.

All support for Matt Britton's troops would be greatly appreciated, although there is another fixture on that day featuring a few young men from Arklow that may take top priority.

But seeing Arklow Town's name in the hat for the next round would certainly be a sight to remember for all, so fingers crossed for the Town lads this weekend.
