Nolan's claim Cup glory after beating The Grand

NOLAN'S and The Grand squared off on Friday night in the final of the First Division of the Wicklow Dart League cup.
Both teams have been the most consistent teams in the league all season and they served up a great final in Jack White's.
First blood went to the Annagh men when they took the opening '1001. The first double's of the night saw Martin Fortune and Don Healy take on Robbie Kelly and Davy Doyle. It was a great game and despite an excellent 130 checkout from Robbie Kelly, Fortune and Healy prevailed to level the scores.
The second singles of the night saw Stephen Byrne and John O' Hara taking on David and Patrick Corcoran. A 13 dart opening leg from the Annagh men helped them to a 2-0 win and put Nolan's 2-1 in front.
Nolan's went 3-1 up in the opening singles when Davy Doyle got the better of John Edwards. Edwards made a bright start but Davy was too strong beating him 2-0.
The Grand put themselves right back into contention in the second singles when John Quinn got the better of John O'Hara. O'Hara took the opening leg but Quinn fought back strongly to bring the score back to 3-2.
Don Healy took on Martin Kinsella in the third singles and it proved to be the game of the night. Don took the first leg but the Kinsella produced two legs of immense quality to win it 2-1 and put Nolan's into a 4-2 lead.
The final singles of the night saw Martin Fortune take on Robbie Kelly. Robbie was in great form all night and he threw some quality darts to beat Fortune 2-0 and seal victory for the Annagh men.
Final score: Nolan's 5-2 The Grand. Highest Checkout: 130 Robbie Kelly.

Next up is the second division cup final between Doyle's and Harney's next Friday night and this also promises to be a great game.
