Keenan bags a provincial title
ARKLOW middle weight boxer Adam Keenan had a major win on Wednesday night when he won the Leinster Senior boxing title.
Adam's opponent John Cahill from Dublins Mount Tallant club was, like Adam, having his first shot at the Leinster Seniors.
The bout started slowly with the Dublin boxer using his jab to keep Adam at bay. This tactic didn't work as Adam soon found the distance and scored with some solid hooks to the head and body.
Towards the end of the second round Adam landed a vicious hook to the head and the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.
Fergal Redmond's luck hasn't changed as he came out the wrong side of a 2-1 decision in the final against Lucas Ursa of Lucan.

Sean Fleming was in a great battle with Tom Devlin from Ballywailtrim. Both boxers went at it toe to toe which pleased the Bray supporters.
On Sunday four boxers travelled to Hollywood to take on boxers from the Hollywood/Ballymore club in an underage tournament.
