First Black Belt for Eagle Martial Arts

BARRY COUGHLAN from Bray achieved his First Degree Black Black last weekend, as he endured an intense grading in Eagle Martial Arts club in Arklow.

Barry displayed great skill and talent throughout his grading to successfully pass and become the first Black Belt within the club, this is a well deserved and prestigious acheivement. Barry was one of the first students to start training with Eagle Martial arts 6 years ago when the club first opened, he progressed to a high level over the years under Chief Instructor Julie Mchale, 4th Degree Black Belt, World and European Champion.

'It was a privilege to have Barry as the first Black Belt student within the club as he set the standard so high for all the up and coming Black Belt students, he is a great role model, instructor, competitior and ambassador for the club,' said Chief Instructor Julie McHale.

Eagle Martial Arts has clubs in Bray and Arklow, teaching children and adults.
