Kiltegan chalk up their second Leinster victory
A number of Wicklow clubs got their second wins in the Leinster Hurling League at the weekend and now look set to qualify for the Knockout stages.
Kiltegan's biggest problem was finding a ground that was playable for their away match against the south Dublin club, Lucan Sarsfields. The game was finally played at Arthur Griffith Park not far from the unplayable pitch at Lucan.
Kiltegan led by 1-6 to 1-3 at half time and held on in a hard fought second half for a good win.
Kiltegan were short a number of the team that played in the first match including Geoffrey Bermingham and Ronan Byrne and the football tied Eoin O'Neill.
They found a new star in midfielder Mark Pierce who was top scorer with 2-1, one goal from a sideline cut.
