John Joe's welcomed Fitzpatrick's to Arklow on Friday night knowing that only a win would be good enough to secure a place in the knock out stages of the League.
The home side got off to a flying start when they took the opening '1001' and they went into a 2-0 lead when John Kavanagh and Eddie Weirder beat Jason Giffney and Ken Peake.
