The Juniors from Baltinglass made it a nice double for Baltinglass when they came from behind to pull off a narrow win over the Greystones side Eire Og at Baltinglass on Saturday.
Paddy Taylor had an early goal for Eire Og but Baltinglass hauled them back point by point. The home side went ahead but three points on the trot saw the seasiders forge ahead by a point at half time - Eire Og - 1-3; Baltinglass 0-5.
Baltinglass took the lead again in the second half and with new full forward Paudeen Swinburne causing a lot of trouble for the Eire Og defence a home win looked on the cards.
Then Eire Og struck for another goal to edge in front again. The scorer this time was experienced corner forward Willie O'Hagan.
The home side finished strongly, tacking on another point to draw level and then got two more scored to seal victory.
Eire Og manager John Wynne was disappointed with the result but still believes he has a good team and will finish up the table.
