Double whammy for Kiltegan

Kiltegan took a second drubbing within the week in Division 1 of the SFL at Donard on Saturday.
Even though the home team were short of some of the heroes of their championship win last week, they still dominated this game.
An early goal by Alan Daly sent them on their way and when Daly hit the back of Fergal Harmon's net for a second time Kiltegan were in trouble, and that was still well inside the first quarter.
Donard-The Glen led by 2-3 to 0-6 at half time and even though a goal by Cathal Fitzgerald lifted Kiltegan spirits early in the second half, they still struggled and were 10 points behind at one stage.
Kiltegan finished strongly with midfielder Anthony Furlong sending over some great points but a rejuvenated Donard-The Glen team was not going to pass up this great chance of picking up their second brace of points in the top division.
On this display the sooner that Kiltegan get back their county players the better. Harry Mangan sealed this victory for the home side with a goal from a penalty and that score left no way back for Kiltegan.
Scorers: Donard/Glen: Alan Daly 2-1; Harry Mangan 1-2; Kevin Kealy 0-3; Niall Curran and Dermot Daly 0-1 each. Kiltegan: Cathal Fitzgerald 1-1; A Furlong 0-6; M Foley and B Dalton 0-1 each.
