ARKLOW girl Áine Ní Raghallaigh lined out at Croke Park last week during the half-time interval of the All Ireland Football final between Dublin and Mayo.
Áine of the AGB Club attends Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir and was selected to play in the INTO/GAA Give Respect Get Respect mini game at half time.
Áine wore the colours of Mayo and met with, not one, but two presidents before the game.
There was plenty of Wicklow interest in the football final and in addition to Aine's sterling performance Baltinglass referee Anthony Nolan was a linesman for the minor football final between Mayo and Tyrone.
Fellow Baltinglass clubman, Kevin O'Brien, Wicklow's only All Star winner, was honoured on the day as one of heroes of Gaelic football from the 1980s and 1990s who never won an All Ireland medal with their county.
