LABOUR PARTY members Nessa Childers MEP and Cllr Conal Kavanagh will hold an EU Funding seminar in Wicklow town to provide information for local organisations and community groups.
Explaining the reasoning behind the seminar, Cllr. Kavanagh says, 'it will give people an overview on what is available, how to prepare their group to consider applying for funding, and also look at the next funding period 2014-2020.'
The seminar starts at 11 a.m. when guests will be greeted by the hosts.
Nessa Childers advises, 'the seminar is free of charge, but registration in advance is necessary. Arts, culture and heritage groups, youth groups, tourism and town twinning committees plus groups interested in promoting debate and discussion around European identity will be interested in attending. Funding for environmental protection and supports for SMEs will also be discussed. These EU funding programmes are project based, and normally do not finance core running costs or capital costs.'
