The meeting which takes place at the Town Hall, Wicklow will focus on the improvements works planned for Fitzwilliam Square.

Local councillor, Conal Kavanagh said ' this is an important opportunity for people to comment on proposed changes to the Square. I attended a meeting last week with the consultants and some of their ideas for the square are potentially very exciting.

' Their impact on this part of the town centre will be significant and will mean greater pedestrianisation, new street furniture, improved disability access and new landscaping. When Market Square was changed, there wasn't enough engagement with the public. The meeting and the subsequent display of the options being considered in the town hall until November 14 gives people a great opportunity to participate.

' The meeting starts at 3pm and will finish at 8pm. People can drop in between these times to meet the consultants.'
