IRISH FOOTBALL fans paid tribute to James Nolan by presenting a flag to his family in his honour.

Sadly James of Blessington lost his life while on the trip of a lifetime to Euro 2012 in Poland. Ger Kelville and Dave Kelly of the ' You Boys in Green Supporters Group' presented the flag to Jimmy and Essie Nolan in Murphy's of Blessington just before Christmas. The huge banner bears hundreds of Irish support signatures and was also signed by some of the Irish squad.

The flag made its debut in the Ireland versus Germany World Cup qualifier held last year at the Aviva Stadium.

A large crowd turned up on the night of the presentation and the Nolan family thanked the supporters group for their lovely gesture.
