A MEMBER of the Reserve Defence Forces who told a local Garda to 'f *** off ' during a pub row has appeared at Arklow District Court.

Edward Taylor of 103 Fernhill was charged with intoxication in public and threatening, abusive, insulting behaviour at John Joe's pub on June 11, 2012.

The court heard that Gardai were called to an altercation here they saw the defendant arguing across the counter with another man.

When the Gardai intervened, Taylor said 'f *** off '. The court heard that he did not realise it was a Garda behind him when he used such language and that he calmed down once he got to the Garda Station.

The matter was adjourned to December 11, 2013 to monitor how Taylor behaves.
