A MAN was airlifted to hospital last week after cutting himself with a chainsaw at Chris de Burgh's Enniskerry mansion.

Tree surgeon Ritchie O'Toole from Wicklow was working at Bushey Park House for Kilmacanogue company Djouce Tree Care Services when the accident happened.

The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. and paramedics and fire fighters were called to the scene, as well as a rescue helicopter.

The cut was to Mr. O'Toole's left leg and was around an inch deep, five inches in length and an inch wide. It was close to the femoral artery and caused significant blood loss.
