A benefit evening for 12-year-old Chloe McCall will take place later this month as her parents thank everyone for the support they have received so far.
Chloe underwent an eleven-hour life saving brain tumour operation in 2009 and is in need of extensive rehabilitation to assist her recovery. The operation left her weak and requiring rehabilitation for her speech and motor skills.
While only half an hour of physiotherapy and rehabilitation a week is available to her in Ireland, Chloe could avail of a five-day-a-week programme in France.
Her parents, Keith and Lisa McCall, have been overwhelmed by the amount of support shown to the family. A number of fundraisers have been lined up before the McCalls move from their Brittas Bay home over to France to assist with Chloe's treatment.
'People have been great and we would like to thank them all,' says Keith.
'We had a bag packing day in SuperValu which was really well supported. We are delighted with the response the campaign for Chloe has received. We have a benefit evening coming up now and we would like to thank everyone behind that, especially all the local businesses who donated prizes and gifts for the raffle.'
The Chloe McCall Benefit Evening takes place in The Grand Hotel in Wicklow on Saturday April 26, beginning at 8 p.m.. The night will feature live music, a raffle and auction. Tickets are available from Earls Newsagents, Dooley Poynton Auctioneers and the Grand Hotel. Tickets cost €10.
Donations would also be greatly appreciated and can be made to the Bank of Ireland, The Chloe McCall Trust, Account Number 63523423, Sort Code 906734, IBAN IE88 BOFI 90673463523423, BIC: BOFIIE2D.
