This has been a tradition enjoyed for the past twenty years where the three local schools, Tinahely N.S, Crossbridge N.S and Klcommon N.S join forces to sing some Christmas carols and really get the festive season off to a good start.

Many thanks are extended to the very hardworking and dedicated Lights Committee under the chairmanship of Padraig Hennessy, secretary-Sean Farrell, vice- Enda Kenny, Treasurer-Aida Lacey and also john Quinn for the wonderful job they do year after year.

A word of thanks also to Fr Gahan, Fr Berney and Rev Elmes who will be on hand to bless the crib that afternoon.

A very obliging Ciaran Fitzgerald deserves a big thank you for providing the sound system each year.

This year raffle cards where sold as a fundraiser for the event and a sincere word for gratitude to all the families who supported this, as the money will help pay for the trees and electricity for the lights that ensure the village looks beautiful throughout the whole of the Christmas season.
