Roundwood Variety group are holding a table quiz fundraiser for their up coming pantomime "Little Red Riding Hood" in Woods and Byrne on Tuesday 20th November starting at 9pm sharp, cost of entry is €10 per person/ table of 4 €40. All are welcome.


A cabaret in aid of the Senior Citizens Christmas Party will take place in the Royal Hotel, Glendalough on Saturday 17th November. All are welcome.


Shrines of Europe, combined pilgrimage will take place for nine days from the 6th April, to 15th April, 2013 which will include Lourdes, Loyola, Santander, Santiago de Compostela. Cost of the trip will be €799 per person sharing. Names and €200 deposit before 1st-December 2012 to Susan at 0404 45276 after 8pm.

Tim Pat Coogan, Historian & Author will officially launch Roundwood Historical Society's 23rd Journal on Saturday 17th November at 7.30pm in The Parish Hall, Roundwood.

This year's journal contains a wealth of articles for those interested in the history of Roundwood and environs, iincluding, A Mystery in the Mountain; Our Local Heroes – Wicklow Olympians & Paralympians; Rabbits Alive Bunnies Gone; St Patricks Day 1935; Colonel Fiach O'Toole – The Eleven Years War & All That; Louis Le Broque; Garech de Brún - Luggalaw & Roundwood; Family History Tips, and much more.

All are welcome to come along. Looking forward to seeing you on the night.


Will you be there to see love blossom? Come along to see some of our locals get paired up with exotic outsiders! Everybody is welcome to this night of fun and romance on Saturday 24th November at 8.30pm in the GAA Club Bar.


There will be a five day tour of the Cotswold, Oxford and Bath on the 10th June 2013, visiting The Cotswolds, Burton-on-the-water, the Roman Baths in Bath, Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and Botanic Gardens. Cost of the trip is €300. In July/August we will be going to the Fjords of Norway. More details later. Anne Sexton Pilates Roundwood: November Special Only €60 for the month unlimited classes to include Reformer, mat, stability ball and circuits. Courses in beginner mat, Introduction to Reformer (pilates machine), vibration plate and new to the studio the TRX suspension training system.

There are also classes for the older adult and somatics for injury and tension relief. There was no jackpot winner in last weeks lotto, the numbers were. 8,9,13 & 19. There were eleven match three winners, Bernie, A&R Scott, Anne Pierce, Elaine Flood, Pharmacy Staff, Brendan & Fiona, Marinus Gaffney, Gillian Morrisroe, E.Dowling, Caroline Bennett and Johnny & Willie. Next weeks jackpot will be €19,500.


Our Annual Parish Sale of Work takes place on Sunday 2nd December from 12 noon to 4pm in the GAA Sports Complex. There will be all the usual side shows: Wheel of Fortune, Bottle Stall, Flower Arrangements and Christmas-Decoration, Arts & Craft Stall, White Elephant, Roulette, Bingo, Pancakes, Chocolate Fountain, Cup Cakes, Teas, Homemade Goodies, Games, Face Painting, 6th Class Stall, Carol Singing, Books, Raffles, Gold Fish, Giggles the Clown & Santa will also be there. Raffle Results and Auction will begin at 4pm.

Donations the Sale of Work are being accepted at our Parish Office Monday to Friday 9.30am-12.30pm daily. We would really appreciate donations of Bottles for the Bottle Stall, Old games and toys (no soft) books, bits and bobs, unwanted gifts or small household items which are all clean, complete and in perfect working order. If you would like to donated but can't make parish office times please contact Caroline Sillery 086 171 4973 .

Donations of Home-baking for the Teas and Home-produce Stall will be gratefully accepted on the day by Betty Cullen. To arrange collection of livestock please contact either Sean Malone or Louis Byrne. You can also bring donations on the day before 11.30am.

We need helpers to come at 7pm Saturday evening before the sale to set up the hall so if you have an hour please come along. All stallholders please come along on Saturday also to arrange your stall. It is essential that all stallholders are there on the day no later than 11.30am to facilitate earlier start time of 12noon on Sunday.

This is our Annual Fundraiser event for The Parish and has something for everyone so do come along and enjoy the community spirit.


Roundwood Set Dancing continues every Thursday night in Kavanaghs lounge from 9.30pm til 11.30pm with music supplied by O'Kane family for this month. Lesson before hand at 8.30 with Sheila for beginners or anyone who would like to come back to it.

The cost of the night is a mere €5 (to include the lesson and the session afterwards). You can have a better work out than a gym, a whole lot more sociable and an awful lot cheaper! So get those feet tapping and join us on the dancefloor New dancers always welcome. Session from 9.30pm til 11.30pm every Thursday night.


45 Card game continues every Tuesday night in Moneystown Community Centre starting at 8.45pm. Teas served. All are welcome.


Roundwood Market is open 1-5pm every Sunday. Home Baking, Crafts, Plants, Jam's, veggies when in season. Tea/Coffee and Scones available also.New Members welcome.


The Bethany Team and Fr Paul thank very sincerely all the families who participated in our annual Mass of Remembrance and Service of Light in Roundwoood Church. Thank you also to all parishioners who came along to give support to the bereaved. Beannacht De oraibh go leir.
