Older people's seminar is set for Friday

A THEME of Learning Promotes Positive Ageing' has been adopted for this year's County Wicklow Network for Older People's seminar which takes place on Friday, November 16.
This annual seminar takes place once again at the Glendalough Hotel and will feature a key note address by Kathleen Lynch, Minister for Disability, Mental health and Older People.
Presentations will be heard from a range of guest speakers throughout the seminar which attracts hundreds of older people from around Co. Wicklow each year.
Paul Maher from Age and Opportunity will provide information on educational opportunities for older people while Maureen Phipps, a founder member of the Network, will share her experiences of retuning to university to undertake a Masters degree at the age of 70.
A member of Wexford Age Equality, Marie Brady, will outline the benefits she gained from participating in the Ageing With Confidence .
