In what is considered the most dire of economic times for charities and people alike, the true spirit of Christmas appears alive in the heart of the county as Gain Feeds has come on board as the charity's official sponsor.

For the horses that have been rescued at IHWT in Woodenbridge, it will mean their feed mangers will be well and truly full on Christmas day.

The IHWT has over 70 equines in its care. The organisation provides critical frontline rescue work, right through to rehabilitation and re-homing.

As pioneers of the Ex-Racehorse re-training programme, having a leading Irish Company like GAIN come on board to support the Charity is a deserved recognition of the great work the charity has delivered.

' We are delighted with our new partnership with IHWT. The range of GAIN products is extensive enabling us to evaluate the best nutritional match for each IHWT case. We understand the work and care given by IHWT to equines over the years and are delighted through sponsorship to offer our expertise and products to really make a difference in the lives of these horses,' said GAIN Horse Feeds Sales Manager, Mary Delaney.

A spokesperson for the IHWT added, 'We are over the moon that GAIN Feeds has come on board.

Gain has an exceptional nutritional team and range of products which enables us to promote advanced optimum nutrition to the horses when most required at various stages of rehabilitation.

We would like to thank GAIN for their support and look forward to working with them in 2013.'
