BLOOD BANK -- The blood bank will be in St. Kevin's Community College on Tuesday December 11th from 4.30-8.30pm. Please attend if you can as Christmas time creates huge demand on blood supplies.It is the best gift you can give someone.

Once again Santa is visiting Moat Farm, Donard for one weekend only on December 15th/16th from 2-6 pm. Visit to Santa is €10 per child, adults free. No booking required. While waiting to see Santa, visit all the animals and maybe pick up a few Christmas presents at the different craft stalls. Or you can relax beside the fire and enjoy some mince pies and mulled wine. Donoughmore National School Parent's Association have invited Enda Carmody, Mimosa Flower Shop, Blessington to give a seasonal demonstration in Donoughmore Hall, Glen of Imaal on Thursday 13th December at 8 pm. Refreshments will be served. Proceeds are in aid of the school with tickets on sale now at €10 from D. Egar (087) 9194969. Dunlavin Community playschool are starting up a new Carer and Toddler Group. The group will meet every Thursday from 1-3pm in the playschool. This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and have a chat over a cup of tea while the children play. It also helps introduce young children to the playschool and makes it easier for when they start. Parents, Carers and Grandparents welcome. Enquiries 045 406866.


There will be a monster whist drive on December 21st in Donoughmore Hall. It is the Christmas Poultry drive with many great prizes on the night.


Christmas cards for Friedreich's Ataxia Research have gone on sale at €8 for 15 Irish made cards. There are 5 packets to choose from with 3 different varieties in each pack. They are available in Dunlavin at Centra, Roche's Pharmacy, Dunlavin Health Centre and the Parish Centre.


Magic Reindeer food is now on sale in Dunlavin at €1 a bag. Proceeds to Solas Unit for Autism in Scoil Nicholas Naofa. Seeda available from Adrienne Muldowney, Kay Grattan, Suzanne Slevin and Linda Darker and in the shops


The winner of the Centra €100 vouchers for the last week was Hannie Blake . €15 spend gets you an entry in the weekly draw.


Bingo takes place in the Imaal Hall every Saturday night at 9pm. The funds raised by the Bingo goes towards the upkeep of the Imaal Hall and well worth supporting.


Dunlavin library opening hours are as follows Tuesday 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Wednesday 3pm – 5pm and 6.30 –8.30pm, Friday 11am –1pm and 3pm to 5pm, Saturday 11am -1pm. Closed on the Saturdays of Bank Holiday weekends.
