Thirty five hardy souls braved the icy waters of the South Beach in Arklow for the rescheduled New Year's Day Swim.
Organised by Mary and Eamon Burke, the 4th annual Eamon Burke charity swim was held to raise funds for the Liver Unit at St. Vincent's Hospital where Eamon received a transplant eight years ago.
Mary said that had the swim gone ahead on New Year's Day there would have nearly been 60 swimmers but it had to be cancelled due to the bad weather.
