JUNIOR DRAGONS' DEN FINALISTS

Avondale Community College's young entrepreneurs are on the road to success after reaching the All-Ireland Finals of the Junior Dragons' Den! Last week, two groups from Avondale Community College enjoyed success at the South Leinster Regional Finals in Carlow.

Dáire Flood and Cillian Kavanagh presented their project 'Safe Driving with The Ice Device' and Cormac Ward and Mark Roche presented 'The Agricultural Electronic Slurry Meter' to the judges. Both teams made impressive presentations and were two of only six groups chosen from the region to progress to the All-Ireland Finals which will take place in the Gibson Hotel, Point Village in Dublin on 8th December.

The boys are now busy preparing their pitch for judges in the hope of being one of the eighteen finalists to be chosen to present their product to the Dragons on RTE! The students will exhibit their products for two hours and will be visited by judges to discuss their ideas. This project, sponsored by ShinAwil and the Bank of Ireland, provides a great opportunity for young entrepreneurs. Congratulations to the students on their great achievements so far and we wish them continued success in the All-Ireland Final!
