ANNACURRA -- all the news

BALLINGLEN LIGHTS -- The annual turning on of the Christmas tree lights and blessing of Crib at the Bridge in Ballinglen will take place on Sunday next December 16 at 6.30pm.

Santa will be dropping by and light refreshment will also be on offer.


We are delighted to confirm that the Annacurra Community Swim will take place on St. Stephen's Day at 11 a.m. on the South Beach in Arklow. This year we are raising funds in aid of the Irish Kidney Association. All funds donated will directly benefit patients with Kidney difficulties.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the swim, so spread the word.


After our exciting Santa run training was back to normal on Monday with many adults taking part too and continuing to exercise while the children train. Athletics will finish for Christmas on Monday 17th December with a few Christmas festive games.

We wish all the children and their families a very Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year and that Santa is good to them. Thank you for all the support for last year and look forward to a very enjoyable and successful 2013.


There will be a 45 card game on Friday night next in Annacurra Community Hall, December 14, starting at 8.30pm.


Results for December 3: numbers drawn 5-9-10-15. No jackpot winner. Match 3 winner; Sharon Keogh, Rednagh Hill; Mick O'Reilly, Toberpatrick; Pat Canavan, c/o of John Thompson and Jim Tallon, Aughrim. Jackpot stands at €3,400. Draw takes place on Monday night.


The whist committee would like to thank everyone who donated prizes for the Christmas raffle, and all who support the whist drives.
