Eileen Corrigan from Baltinglass was presented with an award at the recent National Ploughing Championships in recognition of her long-term commitment to Irish tourism.

The award was presented by UK-based company Wyndham Vacation Rentals which advertises over 500 Irish cottages and holiday homes through its site Cottages4You, including Eileen's.

Long-serving partners were presented with certificates to recognise their partnership with the group over the years and their contribution to tourism in Ireland.

'I am over the moon to receive this award from the Cottages4You,' said Eileen.

'The last few years have been tough, but they have been very supportive and, despite all the challenges, we have had a very good year – welcoming people from all around the world to sample the delights and simple pleasures Wicklow has to offer.

'It's great for us, as a small Irish business; it's great for our local community, as the spin off from tourists staying with us effects everyone in the county.'
