Dundon welcomes 50 foodies for tasty night

Chef Kevin Dundon welcomed food and wine lovers to Dublin's 25 Fitzwilliam Place last Wednesday evening to celebrate the coming together of SuperValu and Superquinn under the SuperValu brand.
A new member of the People Newspapers team, Kevin cooked for more than 50 foodies on the night, using the supermarket's Signature Taste Range of products.
TV3's Alan Hughes was among the guests to enjoy the delicious fare which included sparkling wine on arrival, and a five-course meal.
Prior to the evening dinner, experts Kevin O'Callaghan and Richard Moriarty gave an afternoon of wine tasting at the private dining room in the restored Georgian house.
Superquinn supermarkets across the county changed over to the SuperValu brand the following day, with Pettits already in the fold.
Celebrity chef and author Kevin Dundon, who owns the County Wexford Dunbrody House Hotel, will be writing about his specialist subject for People Newspapers titles. The Dublin native and adopted son of Wexford has also developed a series of recipes for SuperValu.
His mouth-watering menu last week included brown bread with smoked salmon, roasted carrot and garlic soup, fillet of brill baked with potato scales and lemon beurre blank with confit of leek, pork fillet on croute with roasted root vegetables, raspberry panna cotta and a cheeseboard. Guests devoured the incredible meal and also enjoyed a selection of wines on the night.
