Varied mix of events for Blessington's 'Gathering'

JAZZ music, a farmers market and historical walks and talks are just some of the events lined up for Blessington's 'Autumn Gathering' taking place in October.
Activities on Saturday October 12 get underway at 11.30 a.m. with a 'Where's Wally' competition sponsored by Blessington Bookstore.
Blessington Credit Union sponsor a busking competition taking place at 1.30 p.m. At 12 noon there will be jazz in the library, while local pubs will also play host to plenty of music and craic.
There will be a historical tour of Blessington starting at 2 p.m. and a Charity Concert in the Tramway Theatre at 8 p.m. You can also enjoy a 5 course Irish Food Tasting night in Blessington Bistro which also takes place on the Friday.
Things start up again on Sunday, October 13 with a Farmers Market taking place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. You can bring a book to Blessington Bookstore and swap it for another book between the times of 11.30 a.m. and 5 p.m..
There will be traditional food and dancing in Murphy's Pub from 4 p.m. and also a traditional music evening in Bealin's Pub.
