The event was officially launched in Parkview House last Thursday by last year's overall winner, Anna Hennessy.

This competition has, in the past, attracted the finest up and coming young talent in the region and has provided wonderful entertainment for patrons over the years.

This year's event promises to be just as spectacular with contestants from counties Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow, Laois, and elsewhere lining up to display their singing, dancing and musical talents.

This year's event offers more than €1,500 in cash plus trophies in prizes and there will be under 13 and under 18 categories as well as the overall awards.

The event offers aspiring young stars the opportunity to perform at one of the country's top live entertainment venues in a family friendly atmosphere.

Shows will commence each Sunday evening at 6.30pm and will be completed by 9pm with food and refreshments available throughout. Heats open to all comers will begin on Sunday, November 3. The semi-finals and Grand Final will be held on the following Sunday evenings. The competition is open to performers of all kinds whether singers, dancers, musicians, bands, comedy acts etc.
