Wicklow dancer Sean Smullen and his celebrity partner Dr Eva Orsmond live to dance another day after avoiding the axe on Dancing with the Stars.

The pairing finished at the bottom of the leader board two weeks ago and were hoping this week's 'Spoonful of Sugar' routine with Dr Eva as Mary Poppins would be enough to secure their place in the competition for another seven days.

In the build-up to the show, the dance partners appeared to disagree on a number of key routine elements but all the tensions seemed to evaporate once they hit the dance-floor.

Now they will focus on the American Smooth, which is a form of ballroom dancing with an enhanced repertoire of exciting steps.

Sean (21) teaches at Greenane Dance Studio close to Rathdrum. He started dancing at four and has won titles such as Luxembourg Open Champions Rising Star 2014 and Irish National Show Dance Champions 2015, and was a semi-finalist at the Grand Prix Moscow.
