Shelbourne go all the way to glory

AFTER a long season, these sides had to go all the way to extra-time before Shelbourne eventually wrapped up the Under-12 Premier Division league title to go with the cup they had won two weeks earlier.
In a game where there was little between the teams, Curracloe took the lead through Sara Siggins but an equaliser from Kate Murphy brought it to extra-time where goals from Hannah Keating and Eva Boland secured the title for a well-coached Shelbourne side
Kilmore United 0, Curracloe United 3: Curracloe Under16s completed the Premier Division league and cup double for the third year in a row when travelling to Kilmore on Friday evening and getting the three points needed to wrap up the title.
Goals from Lauren Fitzgerald, Lauren Sludds and Amy Banville gave the seasiders victory and the league crown which was presented to them by the league's former Chairman, Mick Doyle.
Ferns United 2, Shelbourne 1 (AET): A goal in extratime eventually gave Ferns the Under-18 league title after a long season saw both these sides finish level on points.
Ferns took the lead in the first-half but Lucy Sherwin scored a second-half equaliser for Shelbourne to bring the game to extra-time. It was Ferns who got the break in the second-half of extra-time to win the game and take the league silverware which was presented to them by committee member Martin Cahill.
