Tullamore the venue for season's finale

THE SECOND year of the National Juvenile Development Events will see a number of Wexford athletes making one last trip to the Tullamore Harriers stadium for the 2013 track and field season finale on Sunday next.
These events, formerly known as the All-Ireland 'B' championships, have open entry to Juveniles who competed at provincial level, but didn't finish in the top four qualifying positions for the national championships. The competition allows these athletes to compete in two events, with a limited amount of disciplines on offer in comparison to the earlier season championships.
These events provide the ideal conditions for the development of competition skills for young Wexford athletes who have already had the experience of competing at the Leinster championships in late May and in June. Many athletes who competed with honours at the Wexford Creamery track and field championships were unlucky not to medal at the Leinsters and this competition will offer them the chance to develop their abilities on the national stage.
