WITH ONE night play in the Wexford league, things couldn't be closer in Division 2.
There are three teams level on 15 points - Curracloe, The Forge and Ballyroe - with Monageer back in fourth on 13 points.
Doran's Bridge and McCrea's have a game in hand, but have only eight and two points respectively so can't qualify for the final.
Division 1: Woodsmen, 21 points; Doran's Bridge 'A', 19 points; The Gap, seven points; Monart, one point.
Division 2: Curracloe, 15 points; Ballyroe, 15 points; The Forge, 15 points; Monageer, 13 points; Doran's Bridge 'B', eight points; McCrea's, two points.
Monageer play The Woodsmen, Curracloe play Doran's Bridge 'A', Ballyroe play The Gap, The Forge play Doran's Bridge 'B', and McCrea's play Monart. It should be an exciting night in the league field to see who qualifies for the final in Division 2.
There's a tournament in Monageer on Saturday, August 18, at 5 p.m. - own partners and there will be two divisions. There will be prizes and refreshments afterwards.
There will be a H.P.A.I. meeting in Carlow this Wednesday, August 1, at 8.30 p.m.
There will be a Wexford County Board meeting this Thursday, August 2, at 9 p.m.
Matters to be discussed include the upcoming All-Ireland, picking selectors for the county teams for both Divisions 1 and 2, and looking for a venue for the league final.
