A woman who appeared before Gorey District Court to answer to a charge of theft at Brookes Supermarket at Seamount, Courtown, on June 3 last was warned by Judge Haughton not to return to court in the same condition again.
Tanya King (26), of 20 Beachside Rise, Riverchapel, was adjudged to be a little worse for wear, leading the judge to adjourn the case, saying: 'Clearly you are not in fit condition to give instruction to a solicitor. If you come back to my court like that again, I'll put you into custody to make sure you are in a fit state. Now get out of the court before I change my mind.'
