A short film shot on Curracloe beach was screened before an audience of cast and crew in Wexford Arts Centre.
The film 'Waves' was written and directed by Terence White and choreographed and performed by dancer Deirdre Grant.
It follows a troubled woman who goes to the beach to find solace.
The film was funded by an Artlinks bursary awarded by the Arts Department of Wexford County Council. Among the invited guests were County Arts Officer Sinéad Barden; Caoimhe Dunn and Dominic Palmer from Buí Bolg; sound designer Pat Jackman; writer Sylvia Cullen and Stephen Eustace from The Picture House film society.
Another short film Off Your Trolley which Terence and Deirdre collaborated on previously, was also shown.
This was made with County Wexford Youth Dance Company and had its Irish premiere during the Sonraigh Youth Dance Festival and its international premiere at the Loikka Dance Film Festival in Helsinki which Deirdre and Terence attended last year.
Terence White said that thanks to Artlinks funding, 'Waves' will now be submitted to Irish and international film festivals.
Terence's previous films include Capture, featuring Garret Keogh; an Irish Film Board funded short called The Night Nurse starring Ger Ryan, and Baby Love, a short film set in Kilkenny.
