MARY'S Lane in Wexford was closed off by the Council last week following the collapse of a boundary wall at the rear of Colman Doyle's premises on South Main Street.
Council workers were dispatched to the area after a section of wall fell down last Thursday.
The lane, which has a number of houses on it, was closed for safety reasons, according to a council spokesman.
The wall is located in an historic area of the town close to a graveyard but it not connected to Wexford's old town wall, he said.
The damaged section is currently being re-instated by contractors hired by Colman Doyles.
