What did Wexford County Secretary Niall McDonnell do on his holidays?.
The answer is he cycled from Mizen Head to Rosslare Harbour to raise money for two worthy causes.
The keen cyclist who lives in Kilrane pedalled 200 miles in two days for Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat and St. Mary's GAA Club, Rosslare.
He was joined on the entire journey by fellow cyclists Annette Crowley who has previously cycled with Niall ro raise money for Crumlin Children's Hospital, and by Padraig Quirke, a crew member of the lifeboat.
The two-wheeled trio were also supported along the way by up to 20 other cyclists who completed parts of the route.
The first leg was from Mizen Head to Midleton in County Cork where they rested overnight before setting out for Rosslare Harbour in the morning.
The muscle-sore fundraisers arrived in Hotel Rosslare to a hero's welcome at a congratulatory barbecue and concert.
