BOROUGH Engineer Sinead Casey has agreed to redesign the controversial junction of Waterloo and Davitt roads, according to Borough Councillor Davy Hynes.
'She has agreed to put the road back the way it was,' said Cllr. Hynes, who led a campaign to change the way the junction worked.
'The main thoroughfare will be from Waterloo Road with the yield sign on the Davitt Road side,' said Cllr. Hynes.
'The engineer will redesign the junction and take away those big stop signs,' he said, 'cars coming from Waterloo Road towards Summerhill will have the right of way.'
It isn't yet clear when the changes will be made.
