Talk on history of textiles

A TALK on the history of textiles will be hosted by Wextord Arts Centre on Saturday, August 24 at 2 p.m.
'Woven Into Memory' will chart the evolution of textiles from the depiction of social history and epic battles as represented int he Bayeux Tapestry to the work of contemporary makers and their themes.
Admission is free to the talk which will be given by Carmel Creaner.
It will be followed by an interview by Blue Egg Gallery owner Mary Gallagher with the textile artist Magda Rubalcava whose work is currently on show in the gallery and the Arts Centre as part of a group exhibition.
