A golfathon at Wexford's Golf Club raised €6,150 for two charities, Hope Cancer Support and Ard Aoibhinn, the local special needs centre.
The golfathon involved 21 local people playing 72 holes (four full rounds of golf) in one day.
Golf Professional at the Mulgannon club, Darren Walsh, said he was delighted with the fundraiser.
'I really want to thank the kind people who donated to these two worthy charities,' he said.
The talented 23-year-old who gives lessons at the club organised the event with club member Des Nash, and they hope to make it an annual occurance. Darren first held the event two years ago and raised €7,000 for the cancer charity, Hope.
Following his golf exams in 2012, he first came up with the idea to hold a tournament on one day, instead of over four days for a normal tournament.
