The service is based at Roche's Road in Wexford town and some outreach services are also provided in Gorey and Enniscorthy.

It is a non-profit organisation with charitable status within the auspices of the Ferns Diocese and provides professional counselling and support in a secure and caring environment.

Although Family Life Service Wexford is a voluntary organisation, its counsellors are professionally trained, fully accredited or in the process of achieving professional accreditation and give of their time in a voluntary capacity.

Continuous professional development and supervision are mandatory for each counsellor. Personnel in each service are selected for their individual qualities of concern, warmth and understanding.

In 2012, 296 individuals and 104 couples received a total of 3,204 hours of counselling and support at Family Life Service.

The Service is currently setting up a web site www.familylifeservice.ie.
