Valerie's burger cake hits the spot
EMPLOYEES from BNY Mellon's Wexford office recently took part in a special 'Great BNY Mellon Bake Off' event to determine the best baker in the company.
Held in BNY Mellon's office in Drinagh, the competition was broken into 'Cakes', 'All Things Chocolate' and 'Miscellaneous', with the winner of each category battling it out for the top prize.
Some great culinary talent was uncovered in the investment management and services company, and following an intense judging session, Valerie Deakin was awarded the 'Best Baker' title for her 'Hamburger and Fries' cake.
Valerie is an admininistrator in the company's assets servicing transfer agency.
Stephane Rochard, Head Chef from Kelly's Café, which recently opened in Drinagh Retail Park, was the celebrity chef on the day and presented the winners with their Awards.
Valerie Deakin received a voucher for dinner at Kelly's Resort Hotel and Spa and the runners up receiving €50 vouchers.
