THE RNLI held a very successful open day in Kilmore Quay recently.
Last year the event was all but rained off, but this year the weather stayed fine, attracting a large crowd.
As well as being up close to the lifeboat, visitors were gien the oportunity to take pony and trap rides, watch a yacht race and attend an auction at The Wooden House.
Other fundraising events included pony rides, face painting and the obligatory duck race.
'It was a good day,' said the deputy coxswain at Kilmore Quay, Aidan Bates.
Money is still being counted, so it's not yet known how much was raised.
