WEXFORD Library will host a series of health and well-being talks and demonstrations during spring 2014. 'Change is good. New Year, No Fear, New You!' is a nutrition and healthy living talk with Nutritional Therapist, Davina Dowling, which takes place on Thursday, February 6, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Are you struggling to keep your New Year's resolution to live healthier and eat well? Then join Davina Dowling for a motivational evening of expert advice, free recipes and a chance to taste some of those superfoods we hear so much about.
Davina will show participants how making a few small and sustainable changes to the diet can have a big impact on overall health and wellbeing.
Meanwhile, for those with green- fingered aspiration, the library will host a series of gardening talks with expert gardener Frances MacDonald, of The Bay Garden, Camolin.
The first talk, entitled 'The Gardening Year' will take place on Tuesday, February 11, from 7 to 8.30 p.m.
Frances will show participants how to keep colour in their garden throughout the year with carefully selected bulbs and plants.
She will also advise on the monthly care and maintenance needed in the garden throughout the year. For those interested in growing their own, she will also talk about the vegetable garden in season.
Booking for both talks is recommended as space is limited.
Call (053) 9196760 for booking and more information. There will also be a selection of gardening books, from the extensive collection at Wexford Library available to view and borrow on the night of Frances' talk.
