The group will be heading for the 4 star Castle Hotel in Macroom and visiting places such as the historic Cork City Gaol, the picturesque Barryscourt Castle, and the beautiful surroundings of the lakeshore of Gougane Barra visiting St Finbar's Oratory.

As well as seeing all these sights, the group will also travel through the beautiful Sheehy Mountains to Glengariff and take a boat trip to Garnish Island.

Shoppers will also be delighted with a visit to the English Markets in Cork City, Ireland's most famous covered food market which played host to Queen Elizabeth II during her 2011 visit, and also to the shopper's paradise of Patrick Street.

A limited number of places are still available to both Active Retirement members and non members alike.

The cost of the trip is €255 for the four day tour and this includes entrance fees to all attractions as well as a luxury coach, B&B and dinner for three nights in a 4 star hotel.
