Teacher Joe Rolston and his first year students from the Presentation School were delighted to be present as Sarah read from her books and spoke to them about the life of a writer.

Sarah Webb has written 10 bestselling novels including 'Always the Bridesmaid', 'Anything for Love', 'The Loving Kind' and 'The Shoestring Club'. She also writes a hugely popular series for readers over 10 called 'Ask Amy Green', for which she has been shortlisted for the Queen of Teen Award at the Irish Book Awards.

Sarah spoke about how she worked in the book trade for many years as a children's bookseller and buyer. She now combines writing with school visits, reading and giving workshops and reviewing children's books for the Irish Independent.

The Children's Book Festival runs for the month of October every year.
